Hello I’ve been away for a while from the form I have about a 4 foot about 11 year old alligator gar and I was just curious who on here has the biggest gar? I would love to see some of the gar that are doing really well and are large.

Well Ohio fish rescue is on here but I don’t remember his @ and he has that 58k pond so he’s definitely a contender.

This is the best I got for up to date pictures I’m sorry it took so long to post it. I also have no sense of scale for him but his pond is about 4 feet deep and he’s sitting on bottom. If I’m also being 100% honest with myself and everyone here he is probably a few inches shy of the 48 inch mark but I would probably estimate him closer to 44 then to 40.
The biggest I've seen was in aquarium shop "Big-In" in Kyoto Japan. (It was personal pet of the owner of the shop)
It was about 160cm long when I visited them in early 2020.
Hello there.. iam new to this group. Have read the posts about alligator gars before 1 year but joined right now. I have a gar with me, I got him 1 year 2 months back when he was 6 months & 9". Now he is close to 22". Is that size ok ? Currently he is in a small tank & will surely move him to a bigger one in a few months.
