I got no idea what could be killing them. The night before i slept, they were all ok in the tank. The next morning, some died. I noticed that most of them that died, the tip of the most of their fins and bleached and body slim pealing off with the lips turning white. Not all the bichirs are affected. The ammonia, nitrate and nitrate level are ok. Water change does seem to work as 2 died the following day.

i have ten now was as high as 15 but over the last two years 2 ornates, a weeksi, a sene and lap have died, my three oldest are my 18" ornate, 11" sene and delhiz over 4yrs old each working on 500g so i can get my fleet of endi's and other bichirs.

Gold aros...? Got those a long time ago, gbxb, bbxb, phxb, hbrtg and rtg. They are over rated now that's why I don't even bother posting them. So many people have them already. Unlike bichirs, they are legal in most country and affordable with some few exceptions on other types.
If I see a xb and pbb in the same LFS and with the same price tag I'll go with pbb.
I like bichirs more than aros.
