zero but plan on having one on my next tank depending on what i do with it, welcome back bruce

currently 2 but I am trying to get one from ebay this week and before the end of the month I would like to have one more . So 2 right now but by the end of the month I want 4 total

Wanted to get 3 of these FX5's for my 150 goldfish tank, but after reading reviews about failure rates with them, I went for 3 of the Eheim 2078e's

Every review I read about the FX5 talks about how the mechanical filtration blows away they Eheim, and that was important to me because of all the goldfish poop, but I was afraid of the failure rates so I stayed away.

Still will consider one in the future though, but so far my Eheim's, only a few months old seem to be doing the job.

Getting it from Ebay is your best option.I just got mine in today from an Ebay seller for $193 shipped. It's all hooked up and running great.I was about to buy an FX-5 from the Aquarium Adventure near my house for $373,but then found them dirt cheap on Ebay. What ever you do don't buy this from a retailer, they'll charge you an arm and a both legs for it.

I plan on getting another one when for my 150 gal arowana set up once he out grows his 40gal breeder.

I got one but only because it was sold to me for a $100 used for a month only but I'm not getting one anymore.

do you want to sell the one you got for what you paid for it? :D

Failure rates probably have a lot to do with people not paying attention to the filter pads clogging the motor up - there's no bypass so the motor will burn out if you don't monitor the output.

Hence it's best to just not use any filter pads and bio media only - maybe a bag with some carbon if you want polishing.
