  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my red devil is about 17 inches long.. older then the Arow... he just went through a near death experience when our power went out and we were not home... he made it.......... he swims a little funny and he is getting gray in the face..but still eats good..luckily it did not seem to bother the arow,..

May we see this red devil? He must be a beast!

Are you really in the US? It would need to be about 40 years old to be legal I believe.

I've been in the hobby since about 1985 and I cannot remember anytime that an Asian Arowana was legal to keep. I've only seen 2 in person that were privately owned and they were in a little Chinese restaurant in North East Alabama about 20 years ago. Talk about not expecting to see something!!! Lol!!!

The literature says that the lifespan of the asians is around 15 years. They have been on the CITES list since, I believe 1976. I don't know if they were grandfathered at the time or not, but I find it difficult to believe there are any in private hands legally in the US.
