Would the rings on the fins help determine age? I have a 24inch ornate, but dont know how old is he. I know he is mature, but not exactly the age.

He's a fish not a tree! Haha. He's at least 5 years old, probably older but you'll never know for sure. How big was he when you got him and how long have you had him?
