I have to say out of all the fish I have owned, the ghost knife has impacted my attraction to the hobby more so than any other fish. As a complete rookie in the hobby the BGK really piqued my interest in oddball fish and pushed the boundaries of what I thought freshwater fish were (goldfish, barbs, guppies). For the price and availability, there is no comparison to the BGK. The color, exceptional propulsion, eccentric personality and almost unbelievable biology make this fish an instant classic. I had a 11 inch BGK that was 6 years old and had survived more things than I care to remember. He recently died, which probably explains why I am professing my love for BGK so much. I now have another that is about 3 months old and 6 inches and I couldn't be happier.
