Who has the OLDEST fish?

True story.
Won a tiny goldfish at the county fair in Columbus County N. Carolina outside of Whiteville. Added it to a lil' 25 gallon. I then joined the army, left the fish with my beloved mother.
Completed BT and AIT, Completed a tour in Maryland and then returned 5 years later she had the same goldfish!!!!! Poor thing could barely turn around in the tank but it looked healthy.
It was like half the length of my arm.

46 years has GOT TO BE A RECORD!!!! Trading it in to an LFS would be like eating a dog. Don't do it!!!

It's early morning...I'm allowed to be slower than usual!I used to have a 6 year old weatherloach. That thing was bad ass! And why is it, that goldfish from fairs last a lot longer?

i know someone with a asian arowana, had it for 25 years. yes he got a permit for it, thats how old it is lol.
