How old IS Darkness btw? You may have told me, but I can't remember...

Mike

I picked her up from Brad in Feb or March of 08. She was roughly 10 inches across. I traced her back to being bred at the Aquarium of America before she went in to the possesion of John Rare. I'm sure John could give you an aproxomate age. I'd guess I picked her up at somewhere between a year to 2 years old. Making my final guess around 4 1/2 years old.

I picked my female Leo up in Jan 2001 as a 4" pup ..... she's now at least 9 1/2 years old and 23" in diameter.

After two cloudy tank events in the last fortnight I hoping she's pregnant again !

Aquaman said that fish with fast metabolism die sooner but mentioned only small fish.

The Ray is a large fish but with a fast metabolism, I wonder how this changes things.

I know mice die early as they have a fast heart beat due to the small size.

off topic, but doesn't one of the US aquariums have lungfish that they got in 1930's ?

I believe the Shedd Aquarium has an Aussie lung that is believed to be in his mid 70's
