thank you...i rescued her yesterday, i had seen her at PetSmart, for a few months..went in and they had cons on sale for 2$..she was still there...some dumb chick was standing in front of the tank saying how cute she was and that she would fit in her bowl at home...so kinda an impulse rescue...new to cons.

Heres my guy. He was an impulse buy, He just caught my eye. First experience with a male con and he has been such an excellent addition to my tank. Hes the toughest softy ever. He acts so tough but has never harmed his Blackbelt buddy half his size. Its also funny how he "hunts" his pellets, He doesnt just eat them, He strikes.
I need a better quality camera. I hate waiting 2 seconds for a blurry shot.

Ive changed my opinion on this guy. Hes getting super mean now and putting on some size. Fins show a really faint blue color and he looks awesome. This picture does not do him justice. Im not calling him pink anymore.
Hes white:ROFL:

Amatitlania siquia is a "Honduarn Red Point" not a Convict

Technically, if we are going to split hairs, you are incorrect. Honduran Red Points are endemic to the Rio Danli in Honduras and are a separate unclassified species. According to Schmitter-soto and others, A. siquia are from Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Calling them the same is speculative at best.

And, given that a lot of people do not agree with Schmitter-soto's reclassification, in which he split Ar. nigrofasciata into a new genus and 4 separate species (A. nigrofasciata, A. kanna, A. siquia, A. coatepeque), it could be argued that that are all just morphs / geographic varients of the same species. In that case they would be considered Convicts. So it is a toss up
