ok now were cooking. irwin just fattened up with 3 med. size strips of fresh catfish fillet on a stick.:) i am so happy, it wont be long now. this morning he ate a gf on a stick and now i dont have to feed him anymore gf. i think he likes to chase the convicts i throw in, it gives him something to hunt. where is the dodo thread starter? he must of gone to the kitchen and poured himself a big cup of shut the hell up. i guess thats what happens when you speak before you think.(hellooooo this is a monster fish site what was he thinking?????????) oh well we all learn one way or another.did i mention that im very happy right now(proud pa-pa) thank you soloman, and thank you richard. you two have been the most help for me. ill keep you all posted on his upbringing. happy fishing:)
 
congrats on getting the little monster to take non-live food! he'll soon take just about any meaty food (and maybe some others too...my croc gar and large t-gar eat algae wafers as well).
i'm sure richard would agree, but no matter how many times it happens, it's always cool when a gar takes non-live food for the first time. nice job--

i just cant believe how many fish store owners feed there fish gf. you would think they would know better. i guess it just makes it that much better when you do things the right way.sry forgot to take pics. ill do it tomorrow after work. i havent been this excited with my fish since my rtc (hoover)hit the 30" mark.thaks again.

lets see some more pics in here of everyones big gars mine is only 7 inches and i dont kno how to add pics but wen i find out i will add one

When you reply, click the go advanced, then click the button that looks like a paper clip,then a new window will pop up, then click on browse, and find the pics on your desktop or puter, then click upload. When the browser stops spinning, the pics are uploaded, so type what u gonna type then click submit reply.
 
wow i finally find out how to add pics and i cant upload them to my computer because i dont kno where the chord is so now i gotta search the house for the cord
