Who here believes in sea monsters?

Blah! Sea monsters are just unreal... probably some fishman saw some giant dead squid floating and exaggerated it..

Many myths, legends are just people over reacting, due to fact they don't understand about the animal..

:screwy:

According to Fantasy/Horror author Steve Alten the Bloop is from a giant Anguilla species:D. Pretty decent book titled THE LOCH. Lots of fantastical fun.

You can't be sure of what we can find in the waters of all over the world, we know more of the moon than what's underwater, even the most known places own animal species that nobody have seen before, they could be not monsters but strange animals surely

well considering they just found over 600 newly discovered species in antarctic, who knows. Gotta be something out there, dont know about it being very big though.

we've only explored like 1% of our ocean, I believe we should see whats on our planet before we go to others.

Why? Every time we discover something we end up destroying it. I say the more left undiscovered the better. Let them look at the moon and mars, at least there isen't anything for them to destroy up there.

As for sea monsters. If you're talking about giant sea serpants, extinct reptiles, megalodon or anything like that then no...I don't believe in them. If you're talking about large deep sea fishes or inverts then yes, I do.

i agree with sand tiger.. i dont think our ecosystem would support giant sea creatures like megalodon.. cause if theres one.. then they would at least have a few hundred or thousand (for reproduce and etc)

I think this raises and interesting question. It is not myth that colosal sized creatures use to roam the Earth but why don't we see such big animals now? I think the biggest animal is some sort of whale. But doesn't compare in size to some of the ]V[ONSTERS we use to have. I have been told it is because there is more oxygen in the air before that is why things could grow bigger? Anyone confirm this? If the reason why things aren't as big as before is due to oxygen, then in the future will we all evolve to become smaller? Imagine in a million ears when we evolve we'll all be tiny!
