Thanks for the pictures! That TSN looks like it can eat prettymuch anyone in that tank! True monster :)

Heh heh. The shovelnose hasn't eaten anybody in my tank in over a year. He will only eat large goldfish or koi. He will actually pass up smaller fish in the tank for a large koi. I think when he was younger he ate a silver hujeta and the beak almost came out of his stomach, and he hasn't eaten one of my fish since. :D

I have a

2 1/2 ft fire eel
16 inch sailfin pleco
oscars
jaguar cichlids
trimac's
pearsii 16"
synspilum

Used to have
mystus wykki 26"
red tailed cat 28"
tiger shovel nose 14"

Obviously i didnt have these fish in the same tanks.

my next big fish i may go for a arrowana of some sort.

Nice collection

How old is the fire eel and what do you feed him?

once had a "cobra " snakehead
was over 2ft
could not see keeping him in a tank of my size(125)

I have never had room for the truely massive fish like tsns, pacus, or rtcs, the longest I ever kept was an American eel a touch over 3' and the heaviest was a marbled goby about 2', most of my monsters were in the 10-16" range like piranha, assorted catfish, and hujetas

My biggest fish was my 34+" african lungfish

I've also had a 30" swamp eel, and 18" pseudodoras niger, and 10-12" ornate polypterus

currently my largest fish are about 5"- choclate cichlid, black belt cichlid, and green severum
