2 Motoro
3 geophagus sp Tapajos "Orange head"
3 Clownloach
1 C. Hujeta
Tank has been running almost 2 months, rays for 3-4weeks.
But since yesterday I am a bit worried, one of the Geophagus have staked a territory, he´s not defending it verry hard but the rays get a nibble sometimes. I´ll se what happens, hopefully he´ll let it go soon and the trouble is gone for now, otherwise I´ll remove the Geophagus. How does it work for the rest of you with rays and Geophagus?

Filtration 1 Fx5, 1 Eheim 2250, both with intake in the overflowcompartment with around 20l filtermedia

Hello Matnil.

Could you post some more pics of those Geophagus? :D

How big is the tank (in cm)?

It´s a 200*60*60cm tank. The Geophagus is proberbly close to fullgrown, I would say 15-18cm. The coulors is slightly better IRL, the camera doesn´t really catch it, there is more blue in the fins.

I keep a pair of BGK's with my rays! They are clever enough not to be eaten!

They are very nice. :) And some very nice shots!

If your geophagus keep up the agressive attitude, just remove the root, not the fish :)

But they should accept each other in time (unless they lay eggs, and they do that ALOT).

I hope this can help you a bit. :)
