loaches will actually hunt them down

Awwww man! I love loaches more than ghost shrimp so I guess that I just won't have the joy of shrimp watching in my tank!

Is it the same with Cherry shrimp? Is there any type of shrimp that could survive my tank?

From my experience with dojo loaches they just love invertebrates. I have had them hunt down and eat 30+ trapdoor snails, and 5 mystery snails before I figured out the loaches were eating them (the trapdoor snails bred I had em all over)

Ive also had them eat 100's of shrimp. I buy a couple dozen occasionally as treats. I enjoy watching them, but the loaches make quick meals outta em. Cherry shrimp are around the same size youll probably have the same problem.

Adult bamboo shrimp would survive, but youd have to have a powerhead or quick moving water for them.

I will have to look into bamboo shrimp. There is only one fish shop around here, and they carry all of the classic fish, but its not often that they get in new species. Is there a good online retailer for fish or is the shipping to hard on them?

Depending on the sizes of your fish and your ghost shrimp, all of your fish could be suspects. If they can eat it, they probably will. Shrimp are best kept alone or with oto algae eaters. I have a baby long-finned albino bristlenose pleco in with my cherry and ghost shrimp in a planted tank and they are all thriving.
