Lately it seems to be bigger than Daytona, at least that's what people in Daytona who have been to Hamm too told me. Funny, I've been to Daytona twice and never to Hamm, although Vienna-Hamm is like 1000 km and Vienna-Daytona is like 8000 km...

And to answer the threadstarter's question: No I won't. Unfortunately the animals I would really think about taking home aren't available on any expo of the world.
If you dont mind me asking, what would those animals be? :)
Hamm is a must go for ANY animal entusiat, been there once and I was drooling all over, I didnt know where to look at:drool: It seemed that by each stand that went by, the animals were getting cooler and cooler:eek: One of the things I remenbar seeing that really got me a head egg were cb blue trees, and all the Chinemys, Emydura, Chelodina, etc you could wish for to buy all day long:D FIDJI IGS, RHINO IGS, CUBAN Igs:headbang2

No doubt that if you want some high-end herps, Hamm is the place to be. But still there are no Mesoclemmys zuliae, Rhinemys rufipes or Peltocephalus dumerilianus there (to answer Couras question ;-) )

Wow your after some way cool turtles:D I dont know if this is of some consolation, but I do remenbar seeing reports that quite a handfull of German and Holand hobbists had Rhinemys rufipes like 30 years ago and they were trying to breed them. Do you know if there is anyone left with this species? Now you sparked my curiosity. They could be very rare but if present there is allways hope for babies.

Maybe there is the one left who published an article about keeping them way back in the eighties. I know quite a few people who are into rare south american turtles, but nobody has rufipes. Chances to get zuliae are slim either, and Peltocephalus.... I don't think anybody has got the room AND expertise to keep more than one happy and ready to breed...

Would like to go to hamm or houten some time this year... just find it hard picking the one to go to...
