no acclimation for me. I float the un opened bag for 15 min. for temp. open the bag and plop them in. an hour or two or four will not acclimate them to a different ph anyway, so why not just get them in your nice clean tank water. it takes days if not weeks for a fish to acclimate to different perameters. this acclimation thing is old school thinking and while it probably does'nt hurt the fish, I can't help to wonder what good everyone thinks they are doing. yes, there are books and experts who say this is the correct way, but you can now find lots of info on disputing this advice. I have done this with salt water, many freshwater, and even my current wild discus which were shipped to me. never had one problem. if you think about it, it makes sense.

A 1' strip of bubble air line is 25 cents, drip the bag with tank water at a slow rate, easy as cake works everytime for me.

I float the fish in bag for 20 min. Take out 1/4 water from bag (never add LFS water to your water column) dump it and add same amount of aquarium water. Wait 20 min. Take out 1/2 water from bag and add same amount from tank. Wait 20 min. Net out fish and add to tank with lights out for 2 or 3 hours to mellow out other fish.

I agree I do it the same way never lost a fish I float the bag 15min then take the fish out and let him or her enjoy the tank. I did this with F1 and wild caught and same thing never lost a fish doing it this way

never float breather bags.
the oxygen dissolved in the water won't pass through.

I drip acclimate for 15 minutes in a covered plastic tub , no floating. I also net them out to reduce water transfer.
and I always quarantine . will it always matter? no, but when it would, even though you'll never know when that is, you will appreciate it.

i dump them into a bucket and drip for about an hour then i net them and put them in the tank.

i let em float for 15 then open and add some tank water ever 7-10 mins for 15 mins and then net out and release into tank without transferring water

float and flop... flat the bag 15-30 mins to adjust temps then dump into net and flop into tank. bag water never goes in my tanks if i can help it. and QT!
