I have to try and get better photos of him. It is rare that he comes out to swim, I took those with the cell phone.

There not bad photos.. you can see how big and healthy he is..but if you get new pics..post them up..

my oldest was a jack dempsey. when i got him i had an empty tank running. a friend brought him from 2 streets over on a bike in a net and dumped him in my 30 gallon tank! even though i thought i "knew it all" about fish i was really ignorant in fish keeping. years later (thanks to the wonderful internet) i had done lots of research and tried to give HER a better life. i realize now that im lucky she survived the 12 years of constant moving, no heater, no water changes, and no de-chlor! here is the pics of jack renamed misses jack r.i.p.

When I moved house, the zip on the bag I was carrying him in broke and he fell out of a backpack onto tar. He lived a week after that and bit the toilet bowl. Was sad to lose him. He was 48cm.

I've had a Raphael catfish for about two years. He was at the LFS for two years before that, though, and I can't guess at his true age. He's around five inches long and I know there are at least two different types of striped Raphael, distinguished by adult size.
I think he survives in my tank because I don't see him often enough to get bored of him. I'm prone to having fish fly through my tanks pretty quickly.

I can't remember how long I've had my Giant Otocinclus. Probably three years, now.
