I dunno guys, I have tried a couple of digital camera and I just don;t dig it.
I tried a good sony point and shoot years ago, didn't like it, and more recently tried a good Nikon digital SLR.
The shots all came out in focus, sharp, crisp, lit the way I expected - I just didn't like that. They didn't have the same depth and texture as my celluloid shots.
I might buy a cheap digital just to play around with, and take some shots of fish, but I would not want to use a digital for professional purposes.
MING - well I have a shot of a french/viet ex girlfriend with her tits out if you want
I wonder how many mega pix it was. You can play with that and in post edit you can get any look you want.
I can see you got the eye so whatever makes you happy makes me happy
I've got some old film pic that bring back the memories but I like the fact that I can shoot 400+ pics on digital and it cost me next to nothing.
Remember the days of trying to "push" 200 speed to get that great shot just the way you wanted it. Don't really miss the days of being in a closet with my hand in a bag... LOL
I can remember some of the crazy shapes I made to shade pics in the dark room...... now that you mention it I do miss the red lights and pics hanging to dry..... Oh the old days
I agree with you about price for sure, I would like to be able to snap that many without paying a penny. Especially in the country I am in now - I have to drive an hour just to get some black and white film developed. Haha, retarded.
I'm not sure about the megapixels, but it was a good one. 2 or 3 years ago, just the body was worth somewhere between £1500 and £2000.
