Not sure if this is the same as in U.S but the village i live in only has 32 houses , not sure on human population but a recent parish survay showed our village had more horses than houses !!:ROFL:that suits me though coz i tend to prefer horses to people ! ;)

Mine either... lol

Maine is loaded with small towns.

Stump, you will know this. There are some areas of Maine (northern areas mostly) that don't even have town names. They are known as Townships, Ranges, and Plantations and are given a numbering system. Very few, if any, people live in these areas.

the town i grew up in still does not have traffic lights... it also does not have a supermarket, hospital, high school .... it does however have 1 gas station, 5 bars, 4 gun clubs and two resturants one of which is built into a train that still sits on tracks... population of 2622 3 years after i left..

I lived in a town of less than 400 until I was 8. Then I moved to a town of 800 until I was 16. These were mountain towns. Now that I live in the dang city, I realize how much I took living in those beautiful towns for granted.

I lived in a place with less than 400
