Not sure if this is the same as in U.S but the village i live in only has 32 houses , not sure on human population but a recent parish survay showed our village had more horses than houses !!that suits me though coz i tend to prefer horses to people !
Stump, you will know this. There are some areas of Maine (northern areas mostly) that don't even have town names. They are known as Townships, Ranges, and Plantations and are given a numbering system. Very few, if any, people live in these areas.
the town i grew up in still does not have traffic lights... it also does not have a supermarket, hospital, high school .... it does however have 1 gas station, 5 bars, 4 gun clubs and two resturants one of which is built into a train that still sits on tracks... population of 2622 3 years after i left..
I lived in a town of less than 400 until I was 8. Then I moved to a town of 800 until I was 16. These were mountain towns. Now that I live in the dang city, I realize how much I took living in those beautiful towns for granted.
