This might not be a hot topic on this site, cause i know a lot of you love fish, especially the uk and carp. But i just started a bowfishing guide service and have been bowfishing for about 10 years now. For those of you who dont know what it is, you should look into it. It is a blast. I am from michigan and here we can shoot carp, gar, dogfish and a few others. Just seeing if anyone else on here does it.

wont get deleted. may not even be closed. don't sweat it. you wont be banned or probably even infracted.
I atlatal fish which is bit similar to bowfishing but takes a bit more work...Pretty much using a spear and spear thrower rather than a bow... Fun stuff and worth a try...
I really like to see it when you guys that bowfish take out lots of carp but I'm not so thrilled with seeing loads of gar and bowfin being taken. It is perfectly fine to take a certain number of these fish but try not to get too greedy with them.. These fish do have a place in the local environment and should not be wholesale slaughtered when convenience strikes...
There is no detailed protection of them so it is up to us as sportsmen to make the call on when enough is enough. Enjoy your sport and take them but do set a limit on yourself for these fish. Go after the big guys leave the little ones alone.
As for the carp Whack them and stack them!!!!!!
If you could please contact me offline (PM) I'd like to talk with you about maybe getting some data that could be of use off of the gar you do take...You guys can actually help us out a lot in many ways with Gar research.. Yourself being from Michigan and on Michigan's waters is particularly useful for the Gar work currently being conducted...
