Who nailed it?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
At least my bugs don't eat one another :(

Are you thinking these guys are going to eat eachother? lol

The last pair of Brassies I had together for years before I lost one and it definitely wasn't eaten......

No, just that your previous tenants had snacked on eachother on an occasion or two, usually not the case for cichlids. The rays that currently swim under them however...

Glad this isn't another whodunnit fish death
Agreed. This is what I thought when I saw the title.

Are they brassies DB? And I'm not sure I remember you making a thread on one of the brassies passing... did you find out what happened?

I keep toothy fish they hold up to rays - usually not the case for cichlids. However I'm not sure I remember the last time I had tenants snacking on eachother??? Sure they spar from time to time but damage is usally minimal, anyone whose seen my tanks and condition of the fish in them could attest to this...... You make it sound like I have some pretty serious cannibalism going on...... lol. IF I offended you by calling cichlids bugs I apologize, just personal preference. After like 10 years I finally caved and got some Geos and I'm clueless as to the fascination with these things.....lol.

I lost Robert back this summer...... No clue why, he was flawless. Maybe another suicide by head trauma induced by the Lince's constant swimming - like I expect was the Armatus's demise.

I thought I posted something about it on Robert's thread. Might not have I was pretty tore up - lost him the same week as I lost ALL the CB Marble pups I produced over the last 4-5 years.... Like 7 of them. Pushed me closer to leaving the hobby then anything EVER has, first the pups then Robert like same week and there was even a monster Tatf that bailed within that month. Was bad time for this guy......

Yes, I believe these lil devils to all be Brassies.....

Very excited to get some size on these guys. They may be the dithers I need to knock the Tanzies down a peg or 2. Wondering IF these guys could be the missing piece to successful Tanzie cohabitation???? 10x4 with an Aro or 2, a Lince, 3 Tanzies and 4 Brassies???? Would be kinda like my dream tank.....

Man, sorry to hear bro. Sounds like a rough time. And the bimean tatf bailed? Glad you didn't get out the hobby though. You've made steps many people weren't bold enough to which taught us. And maybe they will be the successful dithers for you to comm the tatf. I hope it turns out to be true. Best of luck bro.

With all the monsters you keep, I wonder what your dream tank is? Lol.

I didn't mean to make an offense. I just knew you kept toothy fish, and thought you had made threads in the boardgame "clue" style "whodunnit" threads. I didn't mean to imply any lack of fishkeeping ability, I respect your fish keeping at the top of those in the continent. I'd take a D to the B for you to ship me some mini marbles. I just meant that I was glad this thread wasn't related to death (which I thought your recent threads were) and I meant to make a joke that the cichlids that you called bugs were something that I am a passionate about. (and also they don't eat eachother like toothy fish unless big size difference) I'm a ray keeper and have had cichlid fatalities due to rays more so than cichlids.

Glad to see you get some more dorados. You seem to be one of the few that share my passion for them. Did you mean you lost your largest Taft that you kept with the pearl?

It's really sad to see the state the one that lived with Robert (Raymond) is in. The thing seems so friggin sad without Robert. It got even worse when I added a Jar to my big tank. The thing just looks as me like he no longer wants to be here.

In regards to the Tanzie I lost - it was my largest "nice" one. Mr T - the alpha that lives with the Pearl is still alive and well. And mad about his little tank. I really want to move him to the 750 but it's just so hard to justify risking the Lince.
