could be hybrid between longamanis and meeki, as the 'fire' extends like that of longamanis and shows the characteristics as pearls as does longamanis but has meeki shape.
 
of course you want to find out the exact species before you attempt to breed. theres lots of convict X HRP hybrids out there because for ages HRP were just seen as a variety of convict, much like the pink ones. For me, having a breeding pair of pure HRP and raising the fry makes me feel good that I am giving pure fish to the hobbyists out there who want them.

When I got my old FH from the LFS I got in contact with the company in singapore that shipped it and they told me exactly what the parentage was. so maybe if you could get in contact with the wholesaler you can find out if they were given to them as Meeki or not. sometimes they can even get you in contact with the breeder, which would answer all your questions. as nobody supplying wholesalers with a species of fish would be breeding hybrids without knowing.

Looks like the aquarium stain firemouths I see all the time to my eye. Just a nice one with good lighting. They seem to line breed for the blue spangling. The person who could definitively answer this is Juan Miguel.

Most Meeki I've seen in LFS are different.. The overall grey body colouration is different and the red is darker and more concentrated in the head area.
Who is Juan Miguel?
