Who prefers which?

prefer jars until 8-9 inch mark... then the beast comes out, and they kill almost everything...so... can i vote twice?

I agree, the silvers win over jardinis in temperment.

Well, this thread was actually a result of a different discussion in another thread. I said that silvers were more colorful then jars, then he disagreed, then I said that most fishkeepers would probably prefer the look of the silver to that of the jar, so then he suggested posting a poll, and here we are.

makes sense, I chose Silver due to the head shape. Looks more predatory than the Jars IMO

I agree, the angle of the jaw in jardinis seems a little awkward to me b/c of the way it opens, but the biggest reason I prefer the silvers is because of the shape of the tail.

the real question is which do YOU prefer, you are the one buying it and caring for it.

i couldnt agree more... i dislike these types of threads, the ones where the OP will ask what fish they should buy or what fish to put in their tanks. it should be the OP own decision since they will be taking care the of the fish.

no offense to the OP but i prefer both? silver because of the color. jar becuase they are shapped like an asian aro. ive owned both and i wish i could keep em both in the same tank, but it didnt work out

I already picked the Jardini on the poll. Currently I own 2 jardinis, one 5 inch and the other 3.5. So you could say I have a bias towards jardinis. I will obviously pick the jardini over the silver because I've only ever raised jardinis. I wouldn't be honest to myself and the fish without seeing an overall majority vote. That's why I wanted a honest opinion from everyone.
