Interesting. I think im only going as big as 300-400 gallons for the rays plus a 150-180gal sump plus my 75gallon salt, 60 gallon axolotl frag, and a rubbermaid tank for my catfish 300 gal or so...... Think I want to stay low to the ground lol..

When I asked the manager before I moved in if fish tank were ok, she said "as long as its not a 3000g tank" so I took that as literal.

MFK seriously needs a like button... this so sounds like my sister... I laughed so hard I peed a little. :D

I have a 500 in my bottom floor apartment, had no issues. Only thing the said obviously was that I had to be on the bottom floor, which I wanted anyways. I think I had more of a problem deciding which size tank I can fit in my apartment. Also have a 265 and at one time had a 500, 270, 265, 220 and 180 :)

I have a 300g, 125g, and a 75g, I'm on the first floor with no issues.

When I rented an apartment in college I had a 125, 55, and a couple 20’s and was on the first floor. I never asked if I could but the lease didn’t say I couldn’t. Luckily it was no problem and the maintenance people liked it. One of them had his kid stop by to see my 55 african tank. Just check your lease, if it does not specifically say you can’t do something then you usually can within reason.

I rent for the time being and I always have big tanks in my house. I just get really good renters insurance and proceed to do whatever I want with my tanks. Then again I am a stubborn old redneck though.

NOTE: If you emulate me, I am NOT responsible for your actions. :)
