Who uses purigen?

Purigen and Macropore will remove nitrates, in the right conditions, I.e. Not fluidize, and with a slow flow rate.

I'm not looking to use it for nitrates I know it doesn't remove them I never said it did or asked if it did I know it removes organic material such as phosphates. I'm just looking to clean up my water

I run 2 of the 100l prepackaged bags of it in my fx6 on my 125. I've noticed difference in my water clarity for the better. I also added a polishing pad as well. Overall I'm happy with the stuff, seems to work.

I like the stuff use it in both tanks and it has helped with nitrates not to the point where i would reduce wc though just an added benefit. Cant tell if the water.is clearer because of filtration or the purigen... it doesnt remove nitratess. It helps remove organics that end up becoming nitrates.
