Are you fricken kidding me??? 40$ for a COMMON PIDGEON! That's rediculous! I can go get a rubber band in my backyard and kill 20 without even leaving the house. And I had gator and ostridge jerky once. Only 3$ a sample. Vendors on the way to Tahoe. Up the mountains. I almost got lion sample @10$ (tempting) but decided not to take part in the exploitation of a CRITICALLY ENDANGERED animal. As in less than 5,000 individuals remain. Possibly extinct.
