Who was R1Ridah?

Sorry, I'm kinda a no0b to this wonderful website, and haven't caught on to who this precisely was. I presume he was a much loved member of some sort. I don't mean to be insensitive, but I would like to know who he/she was. I saw the ribbon before on the site and was wondering what it was. Now I want an MFK shirt and the one with cichlas and " in memory of R1Ridah. Can someone tell me who he was?

R1_Ridah was a member named Joey. He was a beloved member who was on the site from the early days. He had true monster set ups, big tanks, kept a lot of species but was known best for cichla IMO. He had a larger than life attitude. Joey was a funny dude who was always positive and cracking jokes on members. He lost his battle with cancer and it was a very sad loss for the MFK family.

Thanks, sorry, I didn't know. I am definitely going to buy one of his t-shirts now, especially since 10 of the 15 dollars goes to his family. I'm sorry I wasn't a member when he was around. I wish I could have known him.

Don't be sorry for asking at all man! Please do buy a shirt. I have one as well. In fact it was a few of us MFK'ers that pulled together to design the tee, this is a close family.

JK47 = coordinated the tee design
Gangster = helped me track down pics of Joey's cichla
Greenterra = designed the actual layout that was to be printed
Neoprodigy = approved the tee, fronted the cash to have it printed and setup the dontation program from the proceeds
 
He sold off most of his fish a few years ago.Check out some of his old threads when you have some time.

lol, I'm gettin one when I get paid. I'm kind of in paycheck limbo right now....haven't been paid for three weeks, got another three or four to go... :nilly:
