Who was R1Ridah?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is just a question so don't take it offensively, but how did y'all find out he died? I ask because dead people can't post stuff so unless you knew him personally outside of MFK I can't really see how you could find out.

If I remember correctly one of his close friends who also is a member here broke the news to us with a thread/announcement..

Legit question. Thanks for having the balls to ask. I've been wondering how to word that same question. Lol. Blunt is best I guess...

He was from so cal. So cal represents almost as much as Washington state ;) He has friends on this site who knew him in real life. I have met many members. Tongue33 (joey also) drove to my house from Utah just to trade fish.

Sorry, I'm kinda a no0b to this wonderful website, and haven't caught on to who this precisely was. I presume he was a much loved member of some sort. I don't mean to be insensitive, but I would like to know who he/she was. I saw the ribbon before on the site and was wondering what it was. Now I want an MFK shirt and the one with cichlas and " in memory of R1Ridah. Can someone tell me who he was?

Was a member of C.R.E.A.M.

I would sometimes ask him questions when I was a noob, didn't know him personally, but he was a great man those lucky enough that did know him...

R.I.P. R1_Ridah
JOEY

R1_Ridah was a member named Joey. He was a beloved member who was on the site from the early days. He had true monster set ups, big tanks, kept a lot of species but was known best for cichla IMO. He had a larger than life attitude. Joey was a funny dude who was always positive and cracking jokes on members. He lost his battle with cancer and it was a very sad loss for the MFK family.

Also, what type cancer did he have?
Sorry for asking so many question but after I read this thread I went back and read some of his threads.
