who will be the first to go ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think you'll probably end up getting rid of either the FH or the Red Devil...... but not before they eat/kill your clowns! I'd be more concerned about loosing them [clowns] before you choose a fish to "86". Those little clowns are defenseless agains the power and the aggression of the FH or RD! So..... it's only a matter of time and of which one decides to begin the kill.

hey just wondering which of my fish do u think will have to go back to the fish store first and which ones might live together if im lucky . I have a 5'x2'x18" tank with 2 silver sharks 3 clown loaches 1 red tailed shark 1 red devil 1 flowerhorn 1 firemouth 1 bifas 1 green terror 1 pleco all under 5" . Any sugestions to keep the aggresion down would be nice .

How big are all these fish? In the long run, the tank most likely won't be enough space for the FH and RD to live together. And GT's are more bark than bite. He's bluffing them for now but they'll take him down when all fish are mature. What are silver sharks? Catfish? Don't know anything about them. Never had a Bifa but if it's similar in temperament to a Synspillum (mine only disliked Vieja type fish), you could probably keep that plus the GT and Firemouth. You could trade the FH and RD for a couple more CL's.

Just idea to throw around.

Well in that tank...um...dead ones?

You need something larger than a 112g if you want to keep a group of big aggressive CA cichlids or FH's.

They are aggressive by nature. I've had spawns of Midas/RD's that are killing eachother at .5".... and it just gets worse from there. They are fast growing ...... Not trying to talk you out of getting one because they are great cichlids but ...... if you're looking to get rid of it as soon as it gets aggressive, I would just not even bother getting one bc you'll just have to find a home for it sooner than later.

if only loaches grew huge quickly and could use there spikes to tell other fish to piss off :D
hehe

but then they could do the same to your hand..
