no such thing as a poo eating fish youre going to have to clean your tank on a regular basis

If you clean with a siphon dont start it by mouth suction or YOULL eat the poo:D

That is pretty good:ROFL:

But a good point as well...no such fish exists. Besides, water changes is half the fun of fish keeping. :grinno:

Scats (Scatophagus argus) are known for hanging out at sewage outlets in the Indian Ocean and feasting on human excrement. The genus Scatophagus literally means "dung eater." That said, however, I agree with the previous comments. There is no short cut. Your best bet is to do regular water changes. :)

There is also the Hippocrapeater that guppy posted many months back!

It is bad to rely on fish to do the work for you. There are no real shortcuts in this hobby, only elbow grease and more time.

i started mine by my mouth and got a mouthful of all kinds of ****

There is no such fish for your aquarium. And before you suggest it, no...plecos and corydoras will not eat crap. Corys eat uneaten food, so do plecos in addition to some algae. Even still, it's best to provide them with their own proper diet.

Although this is all true... I once had an albino channel cat, that would eat the poo as soon as it fell outta the fishes bums! I witnessed it on numerous ocassions that fish would eat everything! I wish he didnt die... :( he would be very monster by now!

Yup you gotta do the work your self. I love doing WC's. I like seeing my fish in a nice clean enviroment. I always start my gravel vac with my mouth LOL.
Never buy plecos for cleaning purposes at all. They are the poop problem!
