You probably wish you didn't make this thread... You prolly would have had less stattic saying your gonna breed some mutt fish that turn orange. The red devil/midas breeding hobby is no different than the law... Guilty until proven innocent = Everyone owns mutts unless proven pure from a "respected" breeder.

No, because you have mixed fish from two locales already with such a mating as OP. So strictly speaking, the fry is from parents of two different locations for red devils. I would rather that the parents are from the same location. Otherwise, the fish that are introduced by such a mating are _similar_ to what is available in pet shops.
Actually, if I had the space I would have readily bought a F1 *if* the owner told me that both parents belong to the same locale. This breed and the midas cichlid have been bred to death, with no regard to whether parent fish came from same wild location. Now we have NO IDEA what the heck a Midas or RD is, because we don't know anything about their parents.
Its nice to know the lineage of the fish, and that the fish from same wild locations were bred to produce what is for sale.
Gauging interest threads are not permitted, especially notin the fish specific forums. Should you want to sell the fry, please post a thread in the marketplace.
