I was in Corrientes wetlands; Esteros del Ibera, two weeks ago. It was still cold then.
It is waiming up, 83 degrees in BsAs today, a lot hotter in Corrientes.

What/who were you collecting?

Pygocentrus "ternetzi", they call them "Palometa" down there in Guarani. Big whonkin' piranha. Also dorado, various types of catfish, small characins, freshwater sculpins around paranacito, various Serrasalmus species, dwarf cichlids, Gymnogeophagus balzani, you name it, we were after it.

I caught a real monster of a ternetzi down in the Parana!
