Whole Home Filter

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've used a KDF/carbon water filter for my fish for months. I've tested it for chlorine and metals and haven't found a trace. My water looks clearer and my fish look healthier since using it.

I need it though, because the water in Spain is insanely bad.

I think you overpaid for that bigtime, I paid $70 for mine with a 10,000 capacity.

Don't worry about it being zinc/copper, unless you overuse the filter it won't leach into the tank.

im a plumber and i can tell u that these home "filters" are only neccesary if ur on a well with stinky or colored water. i would strongly suggest that u do your routine thing for water changes for your tanks. and the "salesman" that helped you was only trying to make the SALE! im sure that it has benefits but not enough for myself to bet my fishes lives on it or my money.

oh wow! i just read about the filter on their website and what a load of b/s! how in the hell does filtered water improve air quality?! and it didnt mension that if u dont isolate your outside hosebibbs from the filtered system that it will go through filters extremely faster because of all the water that is being used that doesnt need to be filtered! plus the price to have a plumber isolate the hosebibbs!

You paid over a thousand dollars for that???

Stamp SUCKER on your forehead...

I came off way too harsh with that post and I feel I owe you an apology. You are clearly happy about your purchase and no one should take that away from you. The value of your filter is based on your judgment since you have the need and ultimate purchasing power. No one else can make that valuation except for you. It may not be the right decision for the next guy, but if it was the right one for you then that is what counts.

I got to thinking, if you put your tanks on a drip system then they will not get a buildup of metals (unless they build up in the fish’s tissues).

By removing chemicals and minerals before they off-gas, or magic, this thing is pretty good. (J/K)

Hose bibs are the least of the problem, how about toilets?

when i was in fl the people i went withs aunt had it on there house.. water tasted great

toilets only flush 1.6g per flush unless they are old ones which flush 3.5g. im not saying that the system is completely worthless but i dont think it will help ur fish at all. those large frequent water changes of ur tanks will also burn up the filter much faster than normal. and dont count on breathing any better due to "improved" air quality!

dont mean to derail but i love those old toilets. love the flush noise where you can hear it sucking air down the drain like old public restrooms. yes my poops are monsters :headbang2
