yeah I agree but at least for 7k you can dream and work towards it..

Evreyone wants it, but I do not think you are looking at the overall picture. It may cost you $7,000 to get the setup. You are forgetting the cost of electricity, water and the space to house it. It is not a one time pay and you are done. It costs alot to stock those tanks with fish. I do not know to many people who have a garage or basement to house that setup.

Just my 2 cents

yeah, not saying it's the end all, be all, but 500 some odd tanks for 7k seems like a good deal to me. I'm sure you'd have other expenses too, it's just a quick startup "helper".

what are you gonna put in it, a million guppies?

lol

umm... As I'm not a wholesale supplier myself, I can't say for sure, but isn't the idea to use the tanks as temporary holding "cells" until the juvenile fish can be distributed to retail stores? Tanks are more like separators of species rather than guppy houses...????

oh yeah its in milwaukee guy finally emailed me back... the other cost you have to hink of is getting them to where ever your storing them it will take the biggeat Uhaul they have plus a big trailer I suspect plus the gas to get there and the time it takes to load and unload I bet theres another $1000 in just getting them home...

So what was the end result? Any counter offer?

For what it is worth, I bought part of a closed down wholesaler last year. I got over 150 tanks and tons of equipment. The plan was to sell it all but I have found creative excuses to keep stuff for new tank systems, etc.

I paid around $500ish for it all and ended up paying another several hundred to move it (U-haul and gas). The money was well worth it for the equipment, but the tanks have turned into a thorn in my side.
