here is the new guy, already a glass banger after just a few hours!.....so far all seems pretty peaceful....everyone gets out of his way, and apart from the odd little snap he seems to be pretty much ignoring the others.

just an update, all is well so far.....everyone seems to be getting along very well! the new big midas is actually VERY laid back and placid, no one obviously challenges him...and I suppose I should expect a few battles to ensue as the red devil grows, and the butti....but for now all is very peaceful! I did acquire two venezualan pike cichlids that were handed in to my LFS and I was offered them very cheap, so thought I would give it a try.....they seem to be doing fine, but have to say....they show the most aggression of all of the other residents! one of them has taken a particular dislike to the butti....and surprisingly he seems very submissive towards them (they are around the same size as him length wise) I am keeping a close eye on things where they are concerned though! as I have a sneaking suspicion they may be the ones to cause trouble! and if so I will endeavor to get them a tank to themselves as I really do like them! but if needs must then they will have to be returned to my LFS....have had a quote for my upgrade as well, so am working towards getting a deposit together for that asap! it will be 78in long 26in front to back and 30in deep! just need to get a deposit together.....
I would guess male red devil, theres now way to tell if its a devil or midas but it has the big lips like a devil. Nice pick up
