Who's got pics of Paratheraps Hartwegis?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you'd care to check my most recent posts and you'll start to find some of what you're looking for. More coming. It may help you grasp the "So GM's got a blue face and EWURM's got a red..... there's two variants?" and "Yeah the coloration seems to be hit or miss with these. I like yours too ewurm" questions. There may be infinite "variants," but here are two of the known populations: Rio Tapijulapa, Rio Platanar. The Rio Planatar females tend to show more of the blue towards the rear of the head - majestic creatures (and so are the female Tapijulapa).

That's a red race of V. bifasciatus, not V. hartwegi, although I can see from a quick google search that it has been mis-identified.
Here's a nice shot of a hartwegi I found a while back:

And I believe Nutty has or had some nice blue adults if you want to dig around the forum pages for them.
I got some harwegi from Ken Davis in Feb and they're starting to put on some nice colors but nowhere near to full grown so in the meantime I'm waiting in anticipation.

I have to say that this is not true, I know who is the owner of these fish (Marco Arroyo) and I can say that He is a wonderful male, this coloration is a breeding coloration, I have some babies of him, here they are:

Funny you should mention it cause I saw pics of yours on the CRC boards and thought they looked like bifasciatus as well.
Have you ever questioned your own fish? I'd be interested to see what the people of the CRC boards thought of your fish's identification, as well as the previous fish.
