who's got the biggest silver?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think Del is right on with his estimation, here is the picture cropped at 9" and 37" so that is 28". The big girl comes up a 1/2" shy on each end so thta measures up at 27"

Since there is a curve in her tail area and the water creates some distortion of her, I would say she is at least 28".

Mine is not quite as big as del's girl, but I'll try to get some pix later anyway.

NICE silver Del , has she still been growing lately?

Anyone else ?

Here are my two silvers, the larger is at 22" I just got him last week. The smaller is the slowest growing silver aro on MFK. I got him Feb 11th 2006 at 3.5" and now 15 1/2 months later he is a whopping 16.5". :headbang2

So 13 inches in 15 months, maybe he thinks he is a black aro:screwy:

Hey guys , got some questions ... i got a green asian and numerous other fish & tanks , im building a 540g tank with a 100g possibly 150g sump im thinking of getting a silver aro also but my question is , how big is ur silver , how old is it , and what size tanks he/she been housed in ? do they really get 4ft when full grown? will a silver get along with my asian ? and oscars im planning to put in my 540g?
In the wild they can get much larger then 4'... I don't have a silver to show off but it should be fine with an asian and an oscar as long as their all within decent size. I wouldn't put a small silver in with a large O' though. The osacr may be a bit territorial and beat on the silver...

I dont think they'll get over 4 ft even in the wild

Can you produce something that shows one that big?
