not a huge loss money wise, but i've had a tsn eat a florida gar. i was growing out the gar in a different tank, finally thought he was big enough to go in with the others. i watched for a few hours and every thing was fine, so i went to bed. i heard a big splash a little later, got up in the morning to see no gar, but an extremely fat tsn.

Why didn't you realize what you spent when they charged you? Every store will tell you the total before you pay and if you only bought 6 feeders there would be a huge difference between maybe a dollar and 200. And I don't get why a store wouldn't give you a refund on a fish you didn't even buy, it's like they're asking to get sued. Also I know no store would ever charge 200 for a oscar I've seen countless huge oscars for free that couldn't even be rehomed, you can buy a 3" oscar from petco for 20 bucks and it'll be 12+ inches within a year. Either you shop at the most retarded lfs of all time or your story ain't entirely true.

well okay, the long story is, there was a new person working the register... i had my dog and was trying to corral the dog and i was also flirting with the clerk. she didn't know the machine well and i didn't look at the price and she was confused about how to work it.... i should have caught it but i didn't. this thread is about expensive feeders and you weren't there. it was a mistake and a big one but the long and short of it is that i paid the store 200 bucks and got 6 goldfish. they would not refund the money for a fish, store policy (and a bs one) so i had no choice but to take the fish. at that point. then when my lawyer buddy drew up some official looking papers, they gave me the money back and i kept the fish.

What was the size differential between the moba and indo? I have a 4-5" indo and I've been eyeing this 3" front for a while, I'm just waiting for the right price (My lfs is asking for $50 and it's been there for a year, I've been offering 30 and I know they'll eventually bite)

the worst I've had were my thirteen 5" comets eaten by my red ear sliders. They only cost 10 cents each but I had them in with the turtles for about a year. Guess they were just waiting for them to get fat and slow. Hopefully this stays my most expensive loss. I dont wanna lose my nice fish to each other like some of you all have :-\
