well okay, the long story is, there was a new person working the register... i had my dog and was trying to corral the dog and i was also flirting with the clerk. she didn't know the machine well and i didn't look at the price and she was confused about how to work it.... i should have caught it but i didn't. this thread is about expensive feeders and you weren't there. it was a mistake and a big one but the long and short of it is that i paid the store 200 bucks and got 6 goldfish. they would not refund the money for a fish, store policy (and a bs one) so i had no choice but to take the fish. at that point. then when my lawyer buddy drew up some official looking papers, they gave me the money back and i kept the fish.

I still don't understand or think it's even feasible....

Iv alwalys had bad luck when mixing turtles and fish my painted turtle ate my 3 new sengal polys and bumble bee cat. and 50$ worth of glass catfish and a sunfish .

i bought a dwarf lionfish and it ate my dads damsels and royal gramma

My Oscar tried to eat a new puffer which was about £15. He spat it out and then instantly died from the poison. D'oh

Not quite on theme but I once put a giant daino in my RB piranha tank. The idea was to give them something they'd have to work to catch. They tried and failed. By his speed alone that daino avoided all four of them for a little more then two mouths before I decided he deserved to live. So I transferred him to a freinds community tank. He didnt aclimate, the move killed him. Dainos are cheep but it was dissapointing i'd come to like him.

Lost about 8 koi 15"-24" and two 12" sarasa comets to raccoon's and cranes over a period of a few months about 6 months ago. Only paid about $150 for the fish but $50 of that was spent 5 years ago and $100 about 1 year ago on two 12in longfin koi. To top it off I bought the koi for my dad's pond he got really upset about the losses. I'm currently growing out about a dozen koi and goldies to restock the pond for him.
