I saw on the news last week a whole bunch of people [loyal supporters] saying if Clinton/Obama doesn't get elected then they won't vote for the other one! Aren't they standing for the same party? Are their policies really that different? Or is it all about the individual and not what they stand for....

People are acting a bit nuts. They are similar, but at the same time, not at all. It would make a lot more sense if you could see the subtleties.
