Does anyone else from outside the US thing their entire system is crazy?!?

I saw on the news last week a whole bunch of people [loyal supporters] saying if Clinton/Obama doesn't get elected then they won't vote for the other one! Aren't they standing for the same party? Are their policies really that different? Or is it all about the individual and not what they stand for....

Yeah they are for the same party.. but yeah people vote on individual qualitys of the person running for nomination(have to be nominated by voters/party officials before being able to run for that party) along with considering how the party they belong to stand on certain issues.

History has been if you're not either Rebuplican or Democrat you don't really have a chance at winning as a Independent. It's actually a pretty communistic system.. lol I actually don't think the people who founded the country would want it to work this way.. But some people like the way it works.

No the two candidates stood for BASICALLY the exact same things, which is part of the reason the contests took so damn long.

Pretty much all the candidates are the same. The only person that would actually change anything that really matters and help us at all would be Ron Paul. He is the only real Republican. McCain and all the others are just masquerading as Republicans. I REALLY don't want to see either McCain or Obama (Hil's out so forget about her). McCain will keep us on the same track we are already on and Obama will try to turn us into a Socialist society. If the George Bush of now was the same guy we elected (i.e. the non-interventionist stance he used to have), we would be in a lot better shape and not nation-building or policing the globe. We have military personnel in 130 countries right now!

+ 1... i voted for the doctor, Dr. Ron Paul!!! hes the only one who knows whats really going on! hes won every debate he was allowed to attend! i wonder why he wasnt allowed to a few debates? i wonder why hes not covered in the news paper and on tv? because hes not blind nor corrupted and he speaks THE TRUTH which others dont want you to hear or think about! he makes sense! do your reasearch! BILDERBERG has it all worked out! now since you didnt vote for the man who really wants to change our government that works for the people, the REAL ID is coming and is already in the works and sooner or later the government you just voted for is going to put a rfid chip in your ass! say good bye to the united states and welcome to the north american union! youll see!

In America, our politicians are celebrities. We don't care about policies or voting records, we care about what who said and who spent what on a haircut, who doesn't wear a flag pin in their sleep, etc.
