when the original posters don't even bother looking at the thread I consider it dead. Especially if you are trying to ask them questions.

First off, is it the end all decision by you declairing the thread dead?
Second, nobody asked a question. They are just commenting on a cool vid.
People post videos up to be seen. People post videos on forums to be seen and commented on. If the guy does come back, dont you think he will be happy to see some positive comments on a video he did? Just because its an old thread, its does not make it a bad video that is not worth commenting on. His last login was last month. He is still active enought to reply on some of the new comments... or even answer a question if there was one asked.

I do believe this is a question to the first poster....
I'm not saying that I get to declare which is dead, I am just suggesting that trying to communicate with the original poster would be like talking to a door. They can comment all they want.
