I hear that, I had some p'seeds in a native tank with some LMB, pickerel, bullheads, and a sucker, and those sunnies pushed everybody around. I'd have figured the pickerel to be top dog, but it was the sunnies...


Right on! I have a LMB around 4" and a sunny too who's a punk. The bass is growing like a weed and will probably challenge for top fish soon. He'll be released into a pond this summer tho. The JD runs the show in that 90 gallon tank now. She's around 6 1/2" and growing.

combtail gouramis (Belontia Signata.) became super evil bosses!

Sure they arent the largest fish (These were approx 5") But two of them teamed up, became the bosses, and nearly killed everything in their path!! An 8 inch Pike cichlid was killed by two 5 inch labrynth fish!-

They locked jaws with everything, regardles of size, (during fights with the pike their entire heads would be nearly engulfed by the pikes big mouth.

a Red terror, Medium sized Jack Dempsy, A convict hybrid, and firemouth were beaten severely close to death but rescued, and given away to a better home.

All My plants were shredded and converted to a bubble nest.

They fought till their lips were almost gone and teeth were exposed.
I put a plate of glass in to seperate them because they fought so rigourously that their faces would get stripped raw and bleed!!

They bossed eveyone out of my tank!
