Below are pics of what used to be a 4 1/2 inch Dovii. I originally used 5 silver dollars as dithers for this fish. The silver dollars grew up in my 360 G tank with some big bruisers with no problem (Parachromis, Vieja, Paratheraps, Amphilophus, Crenicichla). They lasted 1 night in the tank. I woke up to find three dead and two barely alive. This fish grew up in a community tank and always ignored smaller fishes. This is the reason why I placed 4 smaller Dovii's in with it. I had to take the 3 out because this fish was relentless. This is a 210 G tank.

So now you have a 2 1/4 inch half Dovii.... That sucks... What is in the tank with which he rsided?

so...... what the hell killed what now. sorry i'm confused

did you have 1 larger dovii in 1 tank, you put 4 more in, it killed 1 then you took they remainding 3 out?

either way sorry for your loss

Confused as well, What killed what?

could you say what you just said except for this time say it in chronological order?

Lol, sorry for the confusion. I bought a fish and I placed it in a 210 g tank by itself. It was very shy and so I decided to put 5 silver dollars with it. The silver dollars only lasted one night with the fish. It killed three and the two that survived were barely alive (took them out but died too). I asked the original owner of the fish if I could put smaller cichlids with it because it grew in a community tank and it tolerated the smaller cichlids. He said to try it and I did. I added four dovii's (4-5") in the tank but ne got its head bitten off. I took the 3 remaining dovii's out after this incident.

so thats the one that got its head bitten off?
