whts a good air pump 4 large air stone?

ive been having problems keeping steady air flow through my stone. i have had 2 of those whisper 100's and 1 other pump, and they all loose there power after a few months. any one have a good one they can recommend?

here is a pic of the stone, and its in a 24" deep tank... its going good in the pic but now its worn out

maybe its the air stone that is worn out not the pump.
doesnt whisper 100 have 2 outputs?

I believe the airstones get worn out and you have to replace them once in a while.

agreed air stones wear out much faster than air pumps. unless your hooking both ends of the pump to one line then you may have a back pressure problem.

Linear piston pump do a great job, but they can get a little loud. You might look into the dolphin air pumps they are nice.

Everyone else has a point. Most of the air stones on the market will clog. Buy a good one and you should have that problem.

i like my azoo pump. it was like 20 bucks for the biggest one they sold at foster and smith. it moves a ton of air.

i tried replacing the stones numerous times with no success. its deff the pumps going on me. the whispers have 2 outputs but i just convert them to one tube. i thought this was my prob at first but then i had a single output do the same thing

im gonna try to find a very strong one, so if it looses some power it wont be as bad.

Look in to the dr fosters more industrial type of ones. Also Rena are the best quality from my experience. Try the biggest Rena They have a nice warranty as well.

Coralife luft pump. It's a higher pressure pump for running airstones or for deep tanks. I used one on my pond for years, it worked great.
