Did you add the Pothos recently? I noticed after I added mine, my water started dropping A LOT faster. I always find water dripping off the end of my leaves. I think the Pothos are water hogs.
Why am I losing over 2 gal a day?

My water evaporates much more quickly in the winter. As soon as I turn on my heater (propane) it sucks all the moisture out of the house.

I use pothos for a couple of months now. I think its them that are absorbing alot of water

I lose about 5g a week from my 180g and 40g sump setup. I attribute the loss due to my trickle tower. It is a 6" diameter pvc pipe filled with bioballs and a small pump circulating water down through the top. Point being, any movement of water will cause evaporation especially when it is exposed to a lot of air. Relative humidity in the air will also promote evaporation. A lot of air movement around the sump will evaporate water...like in the summer when I put a fan in the stand to promote evaporative cooling.
