Why are my Dats scratching??

oh my god hear we go again all tigers do it

if their is no ick in the tank and they are only doing it every now and then its normal :screwy:

I agree. The dats I have kept for the past 3 years or so always have done it from time to time and I consider my water quality to be exceptional. Heavy filtration, 24hr drip system, lightly stocked, etc. If it was excessive I would start to worry.

my goes one step further and flip upside down along the overflow box. too bad i dont have a video of it.

to be honest, kinda give me a headache watchin it do that once in awhile.

i'm selling these monsters, so i pretty much know their behaviours, scratching means there are some problems ( for some case ) or not, add 5ml/100L MelaFix everytime you change the water, and 2.5ml/100L PimaFix.. make sure you dont have any pointed edge decorations in your tank, it'll wound them when scratching
