I have 2 six inch oscars in a 55 gallon(temporary) and they are both in one spot of the tank and not eating. I have sand substrate and they have taken all the sand from where they are now(not mating) and they have been like that for a week. Any advice? BTW i threw in some feeders yesterday and they ate some but hesitated a lot to go after some and other fish in the tank finished the feeders.

What are your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate levels? The first thing to check when you see your fish acting weird is your water quality. It's easiest to rule out. Then, you can go from there if all levels are normal.

dont feed them feeders bro

Im thinking tanks way too small.

My first thought would be sulking. But make sure the water parameters are good and they eat regular food first. Just to make sure.

ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10

Made it big and red so that no one misses it. I did check my water quality to be sure and was like " its probably b/c i moved the layout around a bit" but it seems like it is not the problem b/c it has been more than a week.

Nope, they were perfectly fine until after i moved the layout around. They are only six inches so they are okay in there for now.

You said that they have tankmates. Do you think they could be getting bullied?
