Why are rhoms on this forum so expensive?

Yea I got mine for 22$ but it was the size of a dime. They are hella cheaper when their babies cuz they don't grow to full size in aquariums and they grow slow. A adult 6-8"+ rhom is always going to be a lot more cash, they are all wild caught and imported or traded locally. 99.9% immposible to breed in captivity, a zoo did it but I'm sure the tank was ridiculously giant.

I'm sure the blacks your lfs has are tiny, hence the price amigo...... BTW 14" rhoms online are 500$+ cuz they wont grow to that size in tanks like I said above.

Ya I remember you saying how small your rhom was at first. But didnt know rhoms didnt get that big in aquariums. Thats really interesting. Thanks for sharing that
 
The cheapest i've seen for rhoms are 24 bucks for 4.5 inchers.
