Why are Snakeheads illegal in the States?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
because stupid people release them into the wild and since they are non-native species to the U.S. they can wipe out an entire species if released into a lake. i think.

its because they can survive in pretty much any habitat and they ruin body's of water because they pretty much eat everything.

People really suck. That said I live in the desert lol They shouldnt be illeagal in Phoenix Az, Im pretty sure that every damn lake we have here is man made or only full of water because we keep pumping water into it thus we really have no fish native to AZ:)

Sounds like what Pit Bulls do on land and they are legal lol Just replace eat with kill.

lol Im not anti pit bull but if there wasnt some truth to it it wouldnt be a stereotype:) It is a fact that 7 out of every 10 dog attacks in the US are by pits, thus the reputation. They arent bad dogs its just in theit nature to be agressive. Like a Red Devil:) Just like if you kept a wolf in your home. Can it be domesticated? Probably. Is it ever gonna be as people friendly as a yellow lab? Hell no lol And I can tell you from personal experience as a telephone company employee for the last decade, Im in and out of peoples homes every day, and the worst tempered dogs BY FAR and by vastly superior numbers are Pits, Chows, and Chiwawa's (spelling) lol Rots and German SHepards get a bad rap, hardly ever run into agressive ones out in the field. Very few.

Nope.

Can we get a sticky on this?

For the last Effin time, the breeding populations of channa in the US is NOT the direct result of release by hobbyists!!!
